Payment and Cancellation Policies

KAF ADVENTURES' RESPONSIBILITY

In the unlikely event that a trip/course is canceled by Kaf Adventures prior to its start, you are able to reschedule or rebook at no charge. If rebooking is not possible, you are eligible for a full refund of your payment, remitted within one month. Kaf will not provide compensation for any other costs incurred, including but not limited to gear purchases, flights, lodging, etc. We highly recommend purchasing trip insurance, especially when traveling to join us.

Any outdoor adventure can be affected by weather and conditions, especially in the mountains. Kaf Adventures intends to begin every trip on the stated date unless our expert guides decide it is unsafe due to extreme weather or other objective hazards. Once we are on the mountain, reaching the summit is not guaranteed. Our guides are constantly assessing the safety of individuals, the group, and the environment, and may decide to turn around one or more people to uphold that standard. Kaf Adventures guides will have the final say in this decision and it will not result in any refunds. 

Any cancellation or postponement by you due to weather forecasts will be subject to the policy below.

YOUR RESPONSIBILITY

TRIPS WITHIN WASHINGTON & OREGON

If your trip costs less than $250 and/or begins within 30 days, full payment is required at the time of registration.

If your trip costs $250 or more and is more than 30 days away, a 50% deposit is required at the time of registration and the remaining balance is due 30 days before the start date of your course.

IF YOU NEED TO CANCEL PRIOR TO YOUR TRIP'S START DATE:

Less than 10 days

Unfortunately no refund is available

10-29 days

You will receive a gift card for 50% of the trip cost to put towards a future Kaf Adventures trip

30+ days

You may choose to either:
1. Rebook your trip for a future date
2. Receive a gift card for 100% of the trip cost to put towards a future trip
3. Receive a refund of 50% of the trip cost

TRIPS OUTSIDE OF WASHINGTON & OREGON

If your trip costs begins within 90 days, full payment is required at the time of registration.

Otherwise, a 50% deposit is required at the time of registration and the remaining balance is due 90 days before the start date of your course.

Less than 30 days

No refunds are available

30-59 days

You will receive a gift card for 50% of the trip cost to put towards a future Kaf Adventures trip

60-89 days

You may choose to either:
1. Rebook your trip for a future date
2. Receive a gift card for 100% of the trip cost to put towards a future Kaf Adventures trip
3. Receive a refund of 50% of the trip cost

90+ days

You are eligible for a full refund less a $200 USD registration fee

MENTORSHIP PAYMENT PLANS

Payment plans are available for our Mentorship Programs. By opting for a payment plan, you are agreeing to the following:

  • Payment installments will be charged to the payment method on file on dates outlined by Kaf Adventures
  • Payment can be made early by the participant if they choose to do so via their confirmation email
  • All installments are due to Kaf Adventures. The participant is subject to payment completion, regardless of program completion
  • The participant may not participate in any program dates if they are not up to date with payment
