Guided day hikes are custom experiences designed specifically for you and your group. These private trips provide the perfect opportunity to explore the endless breathtaking and diverse terrain within Washington’s National Parks and Wilderness areas at the level of difficulty most suitable for you.

Meander through enchanting old-growth forests, walk alongside glacier-fed rivers, reach remarkable viewpoints atop craggy peaks, experience Mount Rainier’s astounding beauty, or hike through subalpine meadows where wildflowers bloom. Our professional instructors will share their knowledge and passion for local ecology and geology while ensuring your group feels safe and comfortable throughout the day.

The exact itinerary will be specific to your trip, but a typical day is as follows:

Meet your instructor at the trailhead or other predetermined location at 8am There, your instructor will ensure everyone has what they need for the day, go over general trail safety, and then you will hit the trail.

You will hike for most of the day with stops for pictures, snacks, relaxation, nature talks, and lunch. You can expect to be back to the trailhead around 4pm.

Let us know your goals! Because this trip is booked on a custom basis, any skill level can be accommodated and an appropriate objective will be selected for the group.

  • Any outdoor experience will enhance your ability to learn, but is not required.
  • Ability to hike for 4-6 hours with a 15 pound pack.
  • Upon registration, you will receive a confirmation email full of important information - make sure to read it thoroughly!
  • 3-5 days before your course you will receive an email from your guide containing even more details, including the exact meetup location and time.
  • Leading up to your course, make sure to eat healthy, drink extra water, and get plenty of sleep.
  • Please arrive on time and ready to go at your pre-arranged meeting location. To get the most of our day, we'd like to begin right at the designated start time.
  • All along the way, our office team is available via email or phone to answer any questions you may have.
