Location

Climbing and mountaineering can be a lifelong pursuit. While it's relatively easy to acquire the basic skills and feel like the world has opened up to you, it can be challenging to push to that next level and find the right partners with which to do so. The practice of mentorship runs deep within culture of climbing, where experienced climbers shared their knowledge of routes, techniques, ethics, and safety with up-and-comers. This relationship is what we strive to recreate through this Mentorship Program.

Our brand new Alpine Climbing and Mountaineering Mentorship Program is designed to support you as you develop as a glacier mountaineer and will introduce you to alpine climbing. Spend 4 months this spring and summer (May-August) traveling in glacier and alpine terrain all over the Cascades. You’ll learn impeccable outdoor living skills, practice glacier navigation, experience alpine rock climbing, develop rope management skills, and work together as a team to develop decision-making and leadership skills. You will evaluate risks of traveling in the mountains and gain a larger risk management toolbox so you can walk away competent at evaluating the hazards of an alpine environment. Learn how to plan epic trips and step into the lead as you grow throughout the season. You'll receive live coaching and feedback from your expert mentor in the field. By the end of the program, you'll have grown in both skills and confidence. Not to mention, you’ll gain a community of new alpine partners throughout the program! An adventure like this is not to be missed!
