One important responsibility of traveling on a rope team is to be prepared for rescue in glaciated terrain and having the technical skills and confidence necessary to perform those skills before an accident occurs.
Learning technical systems in technical environments can be too overstimulating for actual comprehension to occur, so we pared down the variables to bring you this 1-day course. Instead of spending half the day hiking to a snowy location, join us at your local city park to learn the fundamentals of crevasse rescue in the controlled environment. This course will teach you the technical rope systems required to extract yourself or your climbing partner from a crevasse. This is our most cost-effective crevasse rescue course and will teach climbers with any background to understand the basics of this crucial skill. All crevasse rescue practice will be held in a safe and relaxed setting and utilize stakes as anchors in the park.
If you're ready to apply your skills in a snowy environment, please check out our Crevasse Rescue Application Course.
